How to Guide

As with all of our shades, the lighter the base, the more vibrant the result! To get the best results, we recommend bleaching to a Level 8 or higher. Use this shade straight from the bottle on pre-lightened, bleached blonde hair - check out our swatch guide for an indication of results on various levels. Apply to clean, damp or dry hair. No developer required. Apply in sections to fully saturate the hair and leave to process for 15-30 minutes, more if required. Rinse off with cool water, no shampoo! Read our how to guide here or visit our Education area to watch our Ambassadors in action.

If your client has short hair, 1 bottle will do the job. We would recommend 2 bottles for paler colours on short hair just so you can fully saturate each strand. 2 bottles for mid length hair - you need that full saturation of colour, work into the hair until the product is creamy and covering the hair. Longer hair will need around 3-4 bottles to make sure every strand gets an even dose of colour.

All of our shades are completely intermixable so you can create your own custom mash up by mixing them! Don’t forget our potent POWER Pigment Drops which can be used in a variety of ways from increasing colour intensity to colour masks. Find out more here. Neutral Mix is the perfect addition to any vivid shade, creating soft pastel tones from rich vivid shades. The more drops you add, the lighter the colour goes. Check it out! A drop of Natural Black can do the opposite, adding depth and darkening any vivid colour!

All of the Crazy Color Care range has been developed to retain colour as long as possible whilst nourishing and repairing the hair. Encourage your clients to create a conditioning mask for their hair to maintain the vibrancy of their colour by adding a generous amount of their Crazy Color Semi-Permanent Hair Colour to a conditioner such as our Rainbow Care Conditioner. Check out our Colour Care Guide here for more info. You could also recommend the new Crazy Color Bond Recovery Treatment once a week to nourish and strengthen their coloured hair.

Pro Reviews

The god of all colours. The most beautiful vibrant pink with a slight purple/magenta hue. Such a strong, highly pigmented colour, it’ll cover a base 8 with ease.

My number one Crazy Colour shade for the last 10 years has been cyclamen. The most amazing thing about cyclamen is it looks so strong and powerful. It’s so easy to remove. Not only that but when you have difficult hair and the base is not perfect it will cover every inconsistency!

Connor Stansfield

The best colour in the Crazy Color range for coverage! It can sit over darker hair or lighter hair and will give beautiful, consistent coverage on either. This purple based pink shade is an absolute crowd favourite!
